BATON ROUGE — Westdale Middle School's phone lines are unavailable Wednesday morning after a partial power outage on campus, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System says. 

The outage is only affecting portions of campus, but the phone lines are down as a result. 

Entergy has been notified of the incident and is working to identify and resolve the issue. 

Despite the outage, the school day will proceed as normal.

"Our administration and staff are taking the necessary steps to ensure students remain safe, comfortable and that instruction continues with as little disruption as possible," a district spokesperson said.
